it's my scientific specialty!

Nannying today was relatively easy with ribs in the crock pot and bread already made. It smelled amazing when I walked in the door. Nicole had a violin lesson, so she quickly finished her homework before heading out the door with her mom.

Nate has me reading The Hobbit. Even 90 pages in, I still think of nothing but hairy feet when I hear someone say 'hobbit.' Oh, and this is Eric reading. We just sat and read today.

I snatched two lemons from the tree out back before going home. They have an orange tree too, but the oranges aren't ready to be picked yet. Last night, I found a recipe for candied orange peel, something I used to buy in Chile from a little sweets shop. We have oranges at home, but I think I might try using lemon peel as well. And I'm definitely using the crock pot tomorrow.

We had our first institute class tonight, and the teacher was really good - intelligent, quick paced, funny (he referenced Engywook from The Neverending Story), and spiritual. And... I was going to post more, but Nate's done with homework and ready to hit the hay. In summation, I love my job, and institute won't be as bad as I thought. In fact, it'll be interesting. And Nate's on a tight schedule.

Lights out.

Candied orange/lemon peels sound yummy! I've never even heard of them.
