Weekend in MA

Nate and I drove to Hingham, MA with his dad this weekend to visit some family friends. These are a few things I'd like to remember from the short trip.

Max's first stroller ride... We took a walk through the woods on Sunday. Luckily, we had borrowed a little stroller from my mom "just in case." We had Max so bundled up that he got comfortably warm and fell asleep for most of the walk.

My favorite house on the block... Nate and I took a walk around the neighborhood where we were staying and fell in love with it.

Watching the Super Bowl with Max... He stayed interested and watched most of it without a fuss. He's his father's son, for sure.

Seeing Louisa May Alcott's home... I think I was more intimidated by the "celebrity"-esque feel of the place than I have ever felt anywhere else. My heart was beating pretty fast, as if I would see Louisa herself walking out the front door and then not know what to say to her. I had the music from the movie in my head the rest of the day.

Visiting historical landmarks... Paul Revere crossed this bridge, and Emerson lived in this house. So many significant people, so little time...

Noticing binky marks on Max's ever-fattening face during the ride back to PA... I coax him to sleep by gently stroking his forehead, and once asleep he pushes out his binky.

We are planning our next trip to Boston which will happen sometime in April. I'm anticipating not wanting to ever leave.
