This statement by David O. Mckay is true of fatherhood as well, especially when someone like Nate is the father.
"Motherhood is the greatest potential influence for either good or ill in human life. The mother's image is the first that stamps itself on the unwritten page of the young child's mind. It is her caress that awakens a sense of security; her kiss, the first realization of affection; her sympathy and tenderness, the first assurance that there is love in the world."
...the first assurance that there is love in the world. I like that.
great quote. i always have to remind myself that I AM MY CHILDREN'S WORLDS (at least until they are school age). they know nothing if it isn't through me. it's a serious responsibility but also really cool.
