Max Turns Two

Max turned two on December 4th. I'm not a fan of big birthday parties for kids so young, so we kept it in the family. I made his favorite tomato basil soup (he's been known to use it to style his hair) and a banana cake with cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. We gave him a few gifts - a truck puzzle, a bath toy, a car night light, and a battery-run car. He was very precise and orderly about his unwrapping, taking them one at a time and giving us an excited smile and comment after each one. He was most excited about the night light. We make sure it's on every night as he goes to bed now.

Two days after his birthday, we went to see Frozen with the boys. They LOVED it. We gave Max some treats, popcorn, and his own seat... and there you have it. He watched the whole movie.

I know we are biased, but Max is seriously the best kid. He's smart, perceptive, friendly, socially savvy, and obedient (most of the time). His chubby thighs are still with us, and I say about ten times a day that "I could just eat him up!"
